ENGLISH FESTIVAL FOR PRIMARY STUDENTS - THE FIRST TIME - 2017

Hundreds of students from 23 Primary Schools in Vĩnh Linh District and teachers, parents and delegates were attracted to the English Festival for Primary Students – the first time at Vĩnh Linh Cultural House yesterday, April 26th, 2017. 

In order to create a playground for English teachers and students from Primary schools in Vĩnh Linh district to have more chances of exchanging and sharing the experience in learning, teaching and using English; bring students into English speaking environment inside and outside the classrooms so that they have more opportunities to improve the skills of using the language they are learning; and help the administrators to have a general look at the picture of quality on teaching English of primary schools in the district, Vĩnh Linh Education and Training Committee Division held an English Festival for Primary Students for the first time at Vĩnh Linh Cultural House.

Mr. Lê Việt Hà -  Deputy Head of Division of Vinh Linh Education and Training Committee Division gave the flag souvenirs to representatives of the 23 schools.

Coming to the festival, beside over 100 students from 23 Primary Schools in Vĩnh Linh District, there were also many delegates, specialists, adminstrators, teachers and parents such as: Mrs. Nguyễn Thị Khởi - Vice chairwoman of the People’s Committee of Vĩnh Linh District; Mr. Nguyễn Văn Minh - The English Specialist of Quảng Trị DOET; Mr. Trần Công Lanh – Vĩnh Linh Association for Promoting Education; Reporters of Vĩnh Linh Radio Station come to join us and broadcast the news; Mr. Nguyễn Văn Cảnh from Hồ Chí Minh Young Pioneer’s Organization of Vĩnh Linh District….

Mr. Lê Việt Hà - Deputy Head of Division of Vinh Linh Education and Training Committee Division was making a speech to open the festival.

Mrs Nguyễn Thị Khởi – Vice chairwoman of the People’s Committee of Vinh Linh District was  making a guiding speech.

The festival had 3 parts: Read a passage and draw a picture; Read the cuts-up and reorder them to make a correct passage; Make the shop and purchase them.

The festival was funny from the start with the music shows of English teachers and students until the end with buying and selling products made by students themselves. “I’m so surprised and pleased that Vĩnh Linh Primary Students are so good at English and talented. Although they are small, they can sing, read, communicate in English and draw quite well” – said Mrs. Nguyễn Thị Khởi - Vice chairwoman of the People’s Committee of Vĩnh Linh District.
